They said no, and so did another. I like the ones who give me reasons. But the people on Webook.com, they like it. I just don’t know what do to make it better. The readers like it. The publishers reject it. Okay, I’ll give you an inside look at my inbox.

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I regret to say that I don't feel
that I'm the most appropriate agent for your work.
However, opinions vary considerably in this business, and I wish you the
best of luck in your search for representation.
…
I’ll pass on the opportunity to pursue, but thank you for thinking of me and best of luck on your agent search.

But look hear at my webook messages about the same story
Wow. The title caught my attention well. It looks really good!

10000000 Stars!
Anyway This Was Really Good. Stellar Beginning Btw!
Can't Wait For Next Chapter!
…
i like it , i have always had a thing for books about the future, it puts some kind of hope into someone, you know. And your characters are awesome, i like Angela a lot, even if this is only the first chapter. I will be reading more. Keep it up!
…
ENTERESTING - this a hybrid word I just made up, it's a combination of interesting, and entertaining, Unique no?
…
This is sooo good. It is very different to every other story I have read. I think maybe you should add something about Angela's scenery because she accepted the city life too quickly. Otherwise, great story!
…
Brilliant, Insanely awesome, I can't even begin to describe how amazing I thought this chapter was, it just needs to be polished up, but other than that it was incredible, so I have no choice but to go on and read the next chapter right now.
…
I'm the first to make it to the end of this story, so I feel I should have something profound to tell you, but I don't, so I'll just write what comes to mind.
Now that I have reached the end, and seen the story come full circle I believe that you have a great idea here, It's a story that really has a lot of potential, And it looks as if you've left it pretty open ended, so I really hope you write a second book with these characters that continues the story. Also I really like the characters, they are well thought out, and it feels like each one has there own unique personality due to the background they came from. Happy Writing c ya, and just know that this is the longest feedback i've ever left anybody
…
All I can say is wow. That was amazing.
I have to admit, I was intrigued at first, but I kept putting off reading it because I was lazy. :)
When I finally did, I couldn't stop. It was addicting, and I had to finish it. Even when I wasn't online I could stop thinking about reading some more.
The plot was great, and I loved the characters. I think a sequel would great, because the epilogue left me hanging, a little.
I did find some spelling errors, but nothing I couldn't understand.
You've got a talent, and I look forward to reading more of your works!
…
I think people like it, and I added more and spellchecked since the comments. I just don’t know how to make the publishers want it. I know It’s not perfect, but they haven’t even looked at it it yet. I wish they would tell me how I could make it better specifically. Most just send standard rejection letter to query.
There was this one really nice lady who sent me a really long, kind, rejection letter. Maybe I should ask her how to make it better, but that would probably seem unprofessional. I need someone to tell me how to make it better, because I do not know.

Query: Saving Eden
What are you doing right now?:Shadow Stabbing...

I wrote a book. It’s called Saving Eden. I will not post the entire thing on here (its 40,000 pages long!). I will, however, post my query letter that I sent to agents. The one that got me a collection of polite rejection letters and one… possible…match. You see, Agent. Cali (not her real name) says it sounds interesting, but is a little short for a YA novel. Still, she wants me to send her a synopsis and the first 10 pages. The thing is I have no ideal how to write a synopsis. I will post it on here after I figure it out, but for now here is my Awsome Query Letter (it deserves caps).
Query: Saving Eden
Dear Agent. Cali,
Imagine living your whole life separated from the rest of the world. The only other face you’ve ever seen is your father, and he’s not giving you any clues to what life is like on the outside. What would happen to you if you suddenly found yourself in the middle of a big city, surrounded by strange and wonderful people? Is it possible that the real question should be what would happen to the people?
In my young adult novel Saving Eden, which is 40,500 words long, fifteen-year-old Angela has spent her entire life trapped inside the confinements of paradise. The only other person she has ever seen is her father, who built their home by hand and tends their beautiful garden daily. It’s the year 2201 and all that is about to change when Angela discovers Jessie, a seventeen-year-old boy from Chicago, sitting in the mist of her garden. Jessie is a member of a secret organization determined to stop The Amenders, which is a group of people who have recently taken over the American government. Angela runs away with him to help save a world that she always wanted to see but never had a chance to know. When Angela discovers the reason behind her secluded life she realizes she may have caused her father, her new friends, and herself to be in more danger than she could ever imagine.
After seeing the books you’ve represented like Super-Awsome-Book, which I have read myself in the past, I think you might be interested in representing Saving Eden as well as the many books I plan for the future.
I believe I should tell you a little about me. My name is "words-over-numbers" and I am a Ball State University student majoring in journalism with a minor in creative writing. I live in Indianapolis, IN and I have had a love for literature since I was a child. Though I have some journalistic articles published in The Indianapolis Star and The Indianapolis Recorder, this is the first fiction novel I have written that I feel deserves to be seen by the world.
The full manuscript is available at your request. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
words-over-numbers

I have taken over this tiny corner of the internet. Enjoy.
Why, hello there. You have stumbled across the blog of a 19-year-old college student who, instead of working for Wal-mart, McDonalds, or any other place of doom this summer, decided to write and publish a YA fiction book. We will see how that goes.
I am a journalism major, creative writing minor, and I attend Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Right now, I am taking over space in Indianapolis, IN. (it’s Summer time!). From this moment on, this is going to be my Blog about anything that has to do with writing. Enjoy.
